As everyone knows by now…I love to save a bit of cash on my home…& when we were getting in quotes for over £5k there was no way I was going to pay that…our bathroom is less than 3m Sq! ! Jeez

Thankfully I have my dad….of whom I get my “whit I’m not paying that!” Attitude from. My dad has taught himself everything..basic plumbing, tiling, flooring, joinery the list is endless. I am so lucky I can learn all his skills and use them eventully on my own. Trades are so expensive and I sometimes think they see a 4ft 9 inch tall blonde women and think…I could totally rip her off” WELL not me!

Ok I can’t cut tiles yet…but I can certainly apply them to the wall in a straight line, and grout them. So easy. It has saved me over £1k!

Both my dad’s advice & my own…would be…the bigger the tile the better. Our tiles were 300 x 100 with 1mm spacers.

I can’t wait for it to be finished…it’s going to be a lovely and calming little space.

I think my dad will be relieved too!
